Guild Halls
and how to start them

As you may notice Guild Wars is game based on guilds - gathering of people with same goal - to defeat other guilds and make their way on top in Guild Wars Ladder.
NolanBut to do this first you have to start your guild (or join to existing one ;)). Starting a guild is quite simple. You can do this very early in Ascalon City from Pre-Searing. You may find there Nolan, whose stands somewhere in the city. For 100 gold he will start guild for you. You have to type name and tag for guild, pay fee and...here you go. You are leader of your guild. :) But what's that...there's no cape on your back! Yes. To get your cape you need to pay 1 platinum (1000 gold). If you have already enough money talk to Nolan and he let you choose your cape - type and color of emblem and look and color of cape. From now on you can travel around Tyria with your own cape. :)

NolanBut what if you already leave preAC behind your back? In Post Searing Ascalon there are two NPCs responsible for guild registering. One of them is Nolan from preAC and the other one is Baron Egan. To start guild in post AC you also need to have 100 gold and talk to Baron Egan. To get cape talk to Nolan.
There is also Liran and Merkin in Lion's Arch. They too can help with forming guild.

NolanBut what if you want guild battle? To fight against other guilds you need to get Guild Hall. It's place where you form group for Guild vs. Guild fight. In future you'll probably see there guild storage and maybe some other futures. To get one first you must obtain Celestial Sigil, which you can get by three ways:
1. Win Hall of Heroes and have luck when magical chest will open because there are only three Celestial Sigils on entire group. This is hardest way to obtain Celestial Sigil.
2. Go to Sigil Trader (you can find him/her in Tomb of Primeval Kings and when visiting Guild Halls before buying one) and purchase Sigil from him/her. Note that there is chance that Sigil Trader won't have Sigils in stock. Price depends of Sigil quantity. This is most easy way to obtain Sigil but also most expensive.
3. Go to Lion's Arch and shout on Trade Chat that you want but Celestial Sigil. There are quite big chance that someone will have one. This is more easy way to obtain Sigil then winning in HoH and less expensive then buying it from Sigil Trader.

NolanIf you have Celestial Sigil go and talk to Canthan Ferry Captain. You may find him on the Canthan Ferry in the south end of Lion's Arch. He will offer to take you to Guild Hall that you choose from menu while talking.
You can freely travel around Guild Hall and if you want to see next go and talk to Captain again.
In every Guild Hall you can find Sigil Trader.
If you choose your Guild Hall talk to Canthan Ambassador but note that you have to have Celestial Sigil in your inventory and cape on your back.
That's all. :)

Below are presented Guild Halls which you may find in Guild Wars.

Warrior's Isle
This isle has similar layout like Wizard's and Hunter's Isles.
Near each base stands catapults, which are damaged and to repair them there is Repair Kit - one for each team, but team can get both kits.
Guild Halls have gates, which can be open from both sides. Inner side can be open normally by clicking on Lever. But outer side can be open normally only by team which this base belong. Opposite team need to take their Guild Thief - she has ability to open gate. Each Guild Hall gave two gates.
In the center of map we can find Flag Stand,
Wizard's Isle
This isle has similar layout like Warrior's and Hunter's Isles.

Druid's Isle
Jungle map with Vine Bridge and Vine Seeds. Seeds are spawned in each base and can be carry by player to special points on map where when dropped they will make Vine Bridge to grow. Also seeds can be dropped near foe. Growing roots will stop this foe for few seconds - works like knock down.
In the center of map we can find Flag Stand.
Isle of the Death
This Isle is very simple. There is only one "trap" for players - water that leads to flag stand localized in west side of map. Water will cause movements slow down (-50%).
Frozen Isle
This map can be quite confusing in the beginning because three ways to Guild Halls are different - have different properties. One that leads to Flag Stand has Ice witch will slow down your movements a lot won't affect you if you already moving. Second and third have gates that can be open from inner side. Gate that is in the center of map is closed at beginning of fight. To open it use level located on third way. Remember that when you use it gate in the center will open but this one will close. Only one of them can be open at same time.
Nomad's Isle
This map has two surprises. First are teleports which can easily take team to foe's base. Second are quick sands. They are on the way to Flag Stand and to opponent's Guild Hall as well. Quick Sands will drain 1 point of energy whenever you cast a spell.
Burning Isle
Lava pools are thing that is very hard to deal on this map. To get to Flag Stand you have walk through lava. Also second and shorter way to Guild Hall has many pools of lava. Lava makes -7 health degeneration (-14 HP/second), so there is quite big chance to die easily on this map.
