Congratulations to the 12 top guilds in each region as of Midnight Pacific (8:00 a.m. GMT) January 1st! You have won an invitation to the Guild Wars World Championship Regional Playoffs! Here are the steps that the top twelve (12) Guilds from each Region need to follow in order to confirm qualification and verify eligibility for the Guild Wars World Championship.
The Guild Roster:
- The top 12 guilds in each region that can field a team of eligible players are invited to participate in the
Guild Wars World Championship Regional Playoffs.
- Guilds qualifying for the Regional Playoffs must provide a Tournament Roster to ArenaNet via email by Midnight Pacific (08:00 a.m. GMT) January 2, 2006. The roster must include the following information for eight players and up to two alternates: Guild name and acronym, and each player's full name, mailing address, birth date, telephone number, email address, and a single account (user) name (not character name).
- The address to which you can send your roster is:
tournament@arena.net.
The Individual Player's Proof of Eligibility:
Other Eligibility Proofs:
- Other eligibility requirements must be met later, including the transmittal of notarized parental permission for players age 16 and 17. All players will be asked to submit other appropriate legal forms as mentioned in the Guild Wars World Championship Rules. Such matters will be undertaken after the first level of eligibility processing mentioned above.
- We will assist qualified GWWC Finalists to obtain a visa to travel to Taiwan, should they require assistance.
For More Information:
If you have questions, please address them to The Tournament Team at ArenaNet at the following email address:
tournament@arena.net. We will respond as quickly as possible.
NCsoft and ArenaNet are pleased to announce the Guild Wars World Championship. All Guild Wars players are invited to participate! To do so, simply form a guild and join in Rated Guild-versus-Guild matches on the Guild Wars Ladder.

About Taipei
 |
Taipei 101
World's Tallest Building |
Taiwan is a solitary island off the coast of Mainland China, on the
western edge of the Pacific "Rim of Fire." Taiwan's landscape features
majestic peaks, rolling hills and plains, basins, rugged coastlines,
and other wonders. A land of great natural beauty, the small island is
home to 6 national parks and 12 national scenic areas and has climates
ranging from temperate to tropical. There are nearly 20,000 species of
wildlife on the island, and more than 20% are Rare or Endangered
Species.
The cultural aspects in Taiwan are a delighted blending of Hakka,
Taiwanese, and mainland Chinese cultures. These lend a fascinating
cultural and social color to everything from architecture to language
to food.
We look forward to the Guild Wars World Championship, and who knows? We may be hosting your guild in Taipei in 2006!
